Penzión pod hradom is a guest house located in the beautiful town of Gelnica, directly below the castle hill Zámčisko. We offer comfortable accommodation in two quadruple, two double rooms and one suite. The total capacity of accommodation is 14 beds.

Rooms

All rooms are equipped with bathroom with shower or bath. There are antiallergic mattresses, quilts and pillows in each room. All rooms include a refrigerator, electric kettle, TV and free Wi-Fi connection. Two rooms have a balcony. It is forbidden to smoke in the area of guest house and in the rooms. Smoking space is reserved on the common balcony.

Gastronomy

All guests can use the well-equipped kitchen free of charge to prepare their own meals. Guests can also order breakfast (pre-order at least 1 day) for 9 € / person / day.

Yard and garden

The yard has a pleasant sitting area.

Possibility of parking in front of the pension in a public parking lot or in a covered garage in a locked yard.

Facilities

In the pension there is a fitness / relaxation room, which guests can use for a fee. There is a basic fitness equipment, toilet with shower and a relaxation area.

We also offer the possibility of washing and ironing personal laundry for a fee.

Guests can also book a car with chauffeur for a fee.

City of Gelnica

GELNICA is a historical mining town located in the beautiful surroundings of Spiš-Gemer Rudohorie in the east of Slovakia.

The town has its history captured in the wealth of historical and natural monuments. The city’s treasures include the Roman Catholic Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary from the 14th century, the ruins of the former Gelnica Castle from the 13th century, the Mining Museum building from 1802, the Evangelical Church from 1784 and the stone bridge over the Hnilec River from the 19th century.

The ruins of Gelnica Castle

Above the town of Gelnica, on a hill called Zámčisko, there is a ruin of Gelnica Castle. The castle was built in the 13th century to protect the city and its mines and destroyed in the 17th century.

Mining open air museum

There is a mining open-air museum not far from Turzov Lake, where apart from the mine Jozef there is also a crushing mining machine – pochwerk. This unique historic machine propels water from Lake Turzov and serves for crushing rock. Other historical facilities will be added to the museum’s exposition in the future.

prosíme Vás o dodržiavanie nočného kľudu od 22:00 – 6:00 hod.
v priestoroch penziónu a v izbách je zakázané fajčiť, miesto na fajčenie je vyhradené na spoločnom pavlačovom balkóne.
pri prevzatí izby si skontrolujte funkčnosť všetkých elektrospotrebičov. Prípadné nedostatky nahláste ubytovateľovi.
závady v izbách hláste ihneď po príchode majiteľovi, inak Vám nebudú uznané.
neodkladajte veci na výhrevné telesá.
v izbe ani v spoločenských priestoroch penziónu nesmie hosť bez súhlasu majiteľa premiestňovať zariadenie, robiť úpravy a akokoľvek zasahovať do elektrickej siete alebo inej inštalácie.
pred odchodom z izby je hosť povinný v izbe uzavrieť vodovodné kohútiky, zhasnúť v izbe a kúpeľni svetlo, uzamknúť dvere a kľúč odovzdať na recepcii ubytovacieho zariadenia.
za škody spôsobené na majetku a zariadeniach ubytovacieho zariadenia zodpovedá ubytovaná osoba a hosť podľa právnych predpisov právneho poriadku. V prípade akéhokoľvek podozrenia má prevádzkovateľ právo skontrolovať stav izby a zariadenia počas pobytu hosťa, a tiež po ukončení pobytu.
za ubytovanie a poskytnuté služby je hosť povinný uhradiť cenu v súlade s platným cenníkom, spravidla na začiatku pobytu.
ubytovateľ nenesie zodpovednosť za poškodenie a stratu osobných vecí hosťa.
za klenoty, peniaze a iné cennosti zodpovedá prevádzkovateľ iba v tom prípade, ak ich prevzal do úschovy (na základe písomného potvrdenia).
vstúpiť do sauna/fitnes miestnosti je možné na minimálne 2 hodiny, a to minimálne 2 osoby(bez využitia sauny môže do miestnosti vstúpiť aj 1 osoba).
pri využití sauny je potrebné vstup do miestnosti objednať minimálne 2-3 hodiny pred vstupom do tejto relaxačnej miestnosti).

we ask you to keep the night calm from 22:00 – 6:00
it is forbidden to smoke in the area of the guesthouse and in the rooms, the place for smoking is reserved on the common balcony
right after housing, check the functionality of all electrical appliances. Report any defects to the staff
Report defects in the rooms immediately upon arrival to the staff, otherwise they will be assigned to you
do not put things on heating elements
in the room or in the common areas of the guesthouse, the guest may not move the equipment, make adjustments or interfere with the electrical network or any other installation without the staff´s consent
before leaving the room the guest is obliged to close the water taps in the room, turn off the light in the room and bathroom, lock the door and give the key to the reception of the accommodation
for the damage caused to the property and facilities of the pension, the accommodated person and the guest are responsible according to the legal regulations of the law. In case of any suspicion, the operator has the right to check the condition of the room and equipment during the stay of the guest and also after the end of the stay
for accommodation and services the guest is obliged to pay the price in accordance with the valid price list, usually at the beginning of the stay
the landlord is not responsible for damage and loss of personal belongings of the guest.
the operator is responsible for jewelery, money and other valuables only if it has been taken into custody (based on written confirmation)
you can enter the sauna / fitness room area for a minimum of 2 hours and at least 2 persons (without using the sauna, at least one person can enter the room)
when using the sauna it is necessary to order the room at least 2-3 hours before entering this relaxation room)
